Murumbinda Hospital is in Zimbabwe. Murumbinda is in Buhera District, Manicaland Province, Zimbabwe. The name Buhera is an Anglicised version of the name uHera, meaning the territory of the Hera an ethnic group of the Shona who lived in the area and neighbouring Chikomba District. There are two designated urban areas in the district one of which is Murambinda. Buhera District is a rural district of Zimbabwe reliant on the local farming economy which includes crops such as maize, millet, and groundnuts. Most of the population are subsistence farmers on communal land system administered by local chiefs. The intermittent and infrequent rainfall mean that irrigation schemes are important. However much land does not have access to irrigation and some schemes have fallen into disrepair.

Murumbinda is in Buhera District, of Zimbabwe, around 90 miles by road from the provincial headquarters in Mutare, the third largest city in Zimbabwe. The district headquarters are in Buhera, about 19 miles southwest of Murambinda. The population of Murambinda is unknown but a 2004 census estimated it at 3,383 people. Murambinda Mission Hospital is administered by the SISTERS OF THE LITTLE COMPANY OF MARY under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Harare. The hospital, which has an affiliated nurses training school, was founded in 1968 and functions as the district hospital for nearly 300,000 district inhabitants.
