Run marathon or triathalon

Emma Connolly completed an Ironman and raised £1895!

We may be able to get you places for the Great North Run or the Royal Parks Half Marathon, Kevin Jones raised more than £1,000 and David Harding raised £444 by completing the GNR. Whilst Nicky Portergill and Sophie Smith ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon and raised £1578 .

School fundraising project

Thanks to FMH supporter Catriona Doran (back row, right), St Patrick’s Primary School in Strathaven, Lanarkshire made FMH their chosen charity for their Lent giving project. They raised £1252!

Make and sell

People have made and sold items to raise funds for FMH including

  • these baby clothes (above) knitted by members of All Saints Church Gosforth 
  • cakes galore
  • PPE masks made by Clara Thompson in aid of FMH!
Talks & presentations

Do you belong to a community group, church, or social club. Could FMH become your adopted charity? We can usually provide a speaker and presentation if needed. Here Mike Thompson is speaking at Sidcup Rotary Club who generously donated £1,000 from a Quiz Night they held.

Celebration Fund

Many of our supporters have asked people to donate to FMH in place of giving gifts when celebrating a big occassion, whether for their wedding, a Christening or Mr and Mrs Hyde who had a party to celebrate their Diamond Wedding and raised money for FMH. Quiz night

We can give you advice, provide a Powerpoint presentation and maybe a speaker to help make a successful fundraising Quiz night. The event above in Hove with a raffle raised £903.

Making Music

Carol singers in Guisborough regularly collect £100-200 for FMH!

Sponsored cycle -virtual Lands End to John O’Groats

John Miller cycled 874 miles at home during the COVID19 Lockdown to raised money for the Murambinda COVID19 appeal and amazingly raised more than £24,000 !


We can provide a small exhibition of our work on A2 card to act as a focus for donations. This was successfully used at St Martin’s church Eysford, Kent and raised £456.


Donate royalties from a book or music, Alexander McCall Smith has done so from the above.

Team Sponsored event

Eddie Bernie and friends organised a sponsored cycle event around the Isle of Cumbrae and raised a good sum.
